Rank Rebels started in June 2021 as a direct-to-client local SEO agency. We took on local businesses, ranked them, and kept them ranked — and we still serve those clients today.
Doing that work by hand, month after month, teaches you something a strategy deck never will: which parts of local SEO actually move rankings, and which parts are just busywork that fills a report. By 2024 we knew the difference well enough to stop doing it by hand. We turned the parts that work into build systems, and we started selling those systems to other agencies.
That’s what Rank Rebels is now. A local SEO agency that productized its own delivery.
What we build
Every service we sell is a system, not a service level. You submit a business, and deterministic code produces the assets — a branded hyperlocal mini-site, an interlinked network of Google properties, a syndicated podcast episode, a co-citation feed. Same inputs, same build, every time.
That matters because the failure mode of outsourced SEO isn’t bad strategy. It’s drift — the junior who left, the checklist step that got skipped, the month where the work quietly wasn’t done. A build system doesn’t have those months.
Neighborhood, not city
Most local SEO is aimed at the city. Rank in “Boise,” rank in “Phoenix.” But the map pack doesn’t care about the city — it cares about where the searcher is standing.
Everything we build is now targeted at the neighborhood. Not “HVAC repair Boise” but the specific locality, its landmarks, its boundaries, the businesses and places around it. That’s where the ranking actually happens, and it’s where almost nobody is competing properly.
Who we are
We’re a team of fourteen, plus specialist vendors, based in India. We work with agencies and businesses across the United States.
Rank Rebels is owned and run by Mayank Kulkarni. He’s been in digital marketing since 2016 — first as a marketing executive at a startup, then as a freelance affiliate marketer, and since 2021 as the owner of this agency. The systems we sell are the ones he built to run his own client work.
What you won’t find on this page
No client logos. No testimonials. No “trusted by 200+ agencies.” No case study screenshots, no percentage lifts, no ranking guarantees.
Not because we don’t have clients — we do, including businesses we’ve served for years. We haven’t asked them for permission to use their names, and we’re not going to put a name on a page without it.
And we won’t guarantee a ranking. Nobody can. Anyone who does is either lying to you or hasn’t been doing this long enough to have been burned.
